Finally liberated from her military service and the separatist politics of the Amazons,
Princess Diana brings The Magic Lasso Comeback Tour to a cabaret near you.
Elizabeth Whitney should have been cast as the original Wonder Girl, but she didn’t have an agent at the time. While completing graduate work in Performance Studies, she decided to conquer the world with deconstruction and hip, Amazonian politics. New York audiences may recognize her from venues like Queer @ HERE, Fresh Fruit Festival, FUSE Festival, WOW Café, and SchoolHouse ROXX at P.S. 122. Around the rest of the world she’s had the pleasure of appearing at Feast of Fools, Homolatte, Bailiwick Repertory, Stockyard Theatre’s Annual Women’s Performance Festival, and the Single File Solo Performance Festival in Chicago; DramaRama in New Orleans; Mae West Fest in Seattle; the Provincetown Fringe Festival; Darling Hall and The Beauty Benefit in Milwaukee; Bryant Lake Bowl Theatre and The Minneapolis Fringe Festival (yes, in Minneapolis); New Genre Festival at Living Art Space in Tulsa; Athica Art Space in Athens, GA; Summerworks Theatre Festival and The Hysteria Women’s Performance Festival at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre in Toronto, Ontario, and a multitude of institutes of higher learning, including her own fabulous alma mater, Southern Illinois University. Most recently, her solo performance “Pop Culture Princess” won Best Female Solo Performance at the 2004 National Gay and Lesbian Theatre Festival in Columbus, OH. She is currently spending lots of time in New York acting in short films and trying to get cast on soap operas, which is really the thing she was born to do. See
