Anthony Apicella, Allison Beck, Katy Frame & Eric SchneiderA cast of two men and two women guide us into an urbanity at once exuberantly innocent and fiendishly clever. From a small boy in Ontario, Canada, to a young man in London's West End, through his later years in New York City, this musical revue celebrates the world of composer/lyricist Bill Solly. His fresh and biting words and beautifully crafted melodies take us through love, laughter, heartache and loss - all with an unlimited optimism. Mr. Solly's own lyrics sums it up best: "fancy free panache!"

*** TOSOS II Billy Blackwell Musical Theater Project ***
The World of Bill Solly is the first in an ongoing series of revues celebrating the contributions of gay composers and lyricists that TOSOS II plans to present under the collective title Musically Speaking. That we begin with Bill Solly is only appropriate, as it was Igor Goldin’s highly successful concert performance of the ground braking Boy Meets Boy that first initiated the TOSOS II Billy Blackwell Musical Theater Project. That we are presenting The World of Bill Solly at the Duplex is also fitting as the late Billy Blackwell with partner Michael Bowers were stars of this club in the1970s at its previous location as the highly successful cabaret act Billy & Tiffany.
